Job Description

As Test & Development Body Engineer your main responsibilities are:

• Plan, oversee and execute the test plans provided by the Body Exterior Function Group.
• Tender outsourced tests to test suppliers.
• Procurement and dispatch of test parts.
• Co-ordinate and oversee the uplift and preparation of test vehicles.
• Co-ordinate test vehicle transport.
• Control of the programme test budget.
• Execute internal tests.
• Generate internal and distribute external test reports.
• Maintain test timing and data within the Clients' design validation plan system (DVP).
• Catalogue test data.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of concerns raised during tests.

Qualifications / Skills needed

• Engineering bachelor's degree 2:1 or above
• Knowledge and experience in automotive body validation procedures
• Catia V5 design capability.
• Understanding of automotive body materials, technologies and manufacturing processes
• Experience of low to medium volume vehicle production.
• Comprehension of PPS, APQP and/or Six Sigma.
