I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client who are a British multinational automobile manufacturer which produces luxury vehicles and sport utility vehicles. They are looking for a Senior Special Vehicle Process/Build Engineer to join their expanding team on a Contract basis. The role will be based in Dagenham, Essex

This position is INSIDE IR35

Job Description

As Senior Special Vehicle Process/Build Engineer your main responsibilities are:

• Knowledge of development of manufacturing processes for vehicle modifications whether body, paint, electrical system etc.
• Knowledge of facility installations required to deliver the vehicle modification whether body, paint, electrical system etc.
• Achievement of process metrics including JPH, CPU, HPU, FTT targets for elements of added content
• Identifying process improvements, and training the operating team in how to implement the revised process
• Developing/reviewing cost saving possibilities, providing technical justifications and preparations for projects and implementing changes

Qualifications / Skills needed

• Vehicle Operations experience
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Engineering Degree in relevant subject or equivalent
