Position Title: Embedded Software Application Engineer

Duration: 6 Month FTC

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

Description:

• Powertrain Strategic Development Department is responsible to lead the transition from conventional powertrains to hydrogen-based propulsion technologies.
• The Fuel Cell Propulsion Control and Software Engineer plays a vital role in developing, implementing, and testing Advanced Control Strategies and Embedded Software Solutions to ensure the Fuel Cell Propulsion system functionality and performance.
• This is done using both virtual simulation tools and physical HIL and vehicle testing.
• Our Client has high expertise in System Modelling and Simulations, Control Development, Software Implementation and testing, and Data Analytics.

As a Fuel Cell Propulsion Control and Software Engineer, you will have the following main responsibilities.

• Developing and implementing control strategies for Fuel Cell Propulsion using Optimal Control methods
• Inventing & implementing new SW functionality in the Clients' SW platform based on deep understanding of physical characteristics and interactions of the sub-systems
• Defining the SW verification process, developing SW test cases and verifying/fault tracing the functionality SW using SIL/HIL and Vehicle test
• Ensuring the quality and readiness of the software before release
• Leading technical solutions for product/services developing unique control strategies and Embedded SW solutions

Required qualifications:

• PhD or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Physics or similar
• Expert knowledge about Optimal Control Theory and Embedded Software Development applied to automotive applications
• Demonstrated working experience from embedded software development at the Clients' Trucks Technology including software development tool chain
• Knowledge of automotive communication networks (CAN, LIN, etc)
• Experience from HIL testing and vehicle testing using Vector Toolchain (CANalyzer, CANoe, etc)
• Expert knowledge about MatLab/Simulink and other programming languages (Python & C/C++)

Experience:

• Specialist: position typically requires 8 years or more relevant experience
