Position Title: Case Management Advisor
Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract
Location: Castle Bromwich
Division: Human Resources
The Opportunity
- Join an experienced and professional team who support the business with Employee Relations issues and cases focussed on discipline, grievance, absence and performance management.
- The team are supported with strong in house training and ongoing development so we also welcome new or recent graduates with an interest in HR and ER.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing a case load of various complex ER in line with internal polices and processes.
- Providing support for colleagues during difficult periods.
- Provide effective support for disciplinary actions, employee grievances, performance improvement and absence, including complex cases.
- Support line managers to chair absence reviews, disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings, up to and including dismissal and appeal.
- Use a coaching leadership style to build relationships and influence managers.
- Make recommendations on appropriate case outcomes through applying sound judgment and based on appropriate risk analysis.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in the wider People Function and the business to ensure that service and process objectives are delivered efficiently.
- Support process improvement projects.
- Undertake any other work as directed in connection with their role as may be requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective organisation and coaching skills, with the ability to engage and support managers.
- Can prioritise cases including complex cases.
- Has a customer focussed mindset.
- Can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with autonomy.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel.
- Strong communicator - both written and verbal.
- Able to use rational judgement, critical thinking and data analysis to inform decision making.
- Comfortable in using a range of technologies and applications.
Desirable:
- Experience of managing multiple complex ER cases.
- Experience in supporting the preparation of information for Employment Tribunals.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
