Tesla boss Elon Musk has presented the latest Tesla innovations, including the "Cybercab" robotaxi, at the Warner Bros Studios in Burbank, California.
Delivered to the event by a Cybercab prototype, Mr Musk revealed its design and technological capabilities for the first time to a live audience. The robotaxi is fully autonomous, featuring no pedals or steering wheel, and boasts a futuristic exterior design with wing-like doors. Elon even confirmed that the model, which he claims will cost less then £23,000 at launch, could be rented out for rides to earn owners money.
A “Robovan” was also unveiled on the night, which can ferry up to 20 passengers around at a time, hinting once again at Tesla’s interest to expand its portfolio of products to cover more than just passenger vehicles.
As autonomous driving technologies and advanced safety systems continue to advance, there is a rising need for expertise in this sector. Contechs has extensive knowledge and resources across the product development process, providing tailored services to a growing list of automotive OEM clients.
