Our latest student project at Coventry University tasked the second-year Transport Design students to design a new premium Contechs EV which encompasses our four brand pillars: Design, Engineering, Technology, Innovation. Held in collaboration with Autodesk, the 12-week project challenged the students to investigate the relationship between brand identity, customer needs, and design form language.
Group 1, consisting of DonghunIm, Yunxuan Wei, and Kyungmin Bae, presented a future Contechs EV sportscar concept for the East Asian market. Group 2, consisting of Will Howells and Delali Opoku, focused on a premium Contechs EV named ‘Limitless Adventure’, which allowed users to elegantly explore new environments and terrain. Group 3, presented by Owen Smith, featured a premium electric aero glide for the United Arab Emirates region.
Encouraged to utilise AI alongside traditional design skills, the students developed their skills through regular 1:1 support from Chris Hamilton, Design Director for Contechs, and Pierre-Paul Andriani, Design Studio Solution Specialist for Autodesk. We were thrilled to review the final projects and see the fantastic progression made by the students.
