Stellantis has revealed a new flexible vehicle architecture which is capable of supporting upcoming electric cars (EVs) and internal combustion cars too.
Named the STLA Large platform, this new architecture will be used for crossovers and SUVs, catering to midsize and large vehicles. It’s one of multiple new platforms from Stellantis, and is expected to be first used in upcoming Dodge and Jeep models. Front-, rear- and all-wheel-drive layouts will be supported, as well as single- and dual-motor layouts. Forming part of its EV capabilities, the platform will support battery backs between 85 and 118 kWh of capacity.
