Ford recently announced the all new Explorer EV. This is the first of a new range of EVs and represents a turning point for Ford, setting the tone for a new design direction that will emphasise the brand's American heritage. The new electric crossover SUV is built on Volkswagen’s MEB platform and won’t be available for sale in the US. The Explorer EV is part of Ford’s plan to electrify its entire line-up in Europe by 2030, and is expected to go on sale in Q4 2023.
Contechs has been a strategic partner to Ford for many years and has helped to deliver multiple production vehicles. On the Explorer EV project we provided engineering support and CAD surfacing from concept to final data sign off for manufacture.
We are proud to be supporting Ford on their journey to a fully electrified future and we continue to deliver on our promise of limitless possibilities.
