About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a luxury automotive manufacturer. They are looking for a Wheel & Tyre (Chassis) Project Engineer to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis

Job Description

As a Wheel & Tyre (Chassis) Project Engineer your main responsibilities are:

  • 5+ years of automotive design experience in Chassis systems as a project engineer
  • Aluminium Casting / Forging Experience
  • Low volume vehicle experience
  • Supplier interface experience
  • DVP, DFMEA and technical spec generation
  • Strong leadership of a team of high performance Design engineers.
  • Catia V5 literate (Spin & Review for role)

Qualifications / Skills needed

  • Education to Degree level
  • Experience with Wheels & Tyre development
  • Good understanding of mechanical design requirements for typical automotive applications e.g. fastening, structural, CAE and manufacturing techniques.
  • PC literate and at ease with MS Office products
