Senior Special Vehicle Supply Chain Management Engineer

9-month initial contract

Onsite - Dagenham, Essex

£29.52 per hour (Inside IR35)

£35.65 per hour (from week 13)

About the company

Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client - a British multinational automobile manufacturer, which produces luxury vehicles and sport utility vehicles. They are looking for a Supply Chain Management Engineer to join their expanding team, on a contract basis. The role will be based in Dagenham, Essex.

Job Description

As Supply Chain Management Engineer, your main responsibilities include:

• Development, implementation, and management of vehicle parts sourcing, using corporate and ad-hoc systems
• Due diligence for supplier sourcing, ensuring all suppliers support Client standards
• Supply chain route setups, working with internal logistics support to gain efficiency where possible
• Manage internal stock, ensuring counts are up to date, to protect program
• Monitor and develop roadmaps for supply chain improvements, implementing them and coaching the team through the change

Qualifications / Skills needed

• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Working knowledge of Corporate PC based MP&L programs and software packages
• A high level of presentation and communication to senior execs
• Engineering Degree in relevant subject or equivalent
• Special Vehicle/prototype parts sourcing, procurement, and delivery experience
