If you are seeking an opportunity to work as a Quality Engineer APQP on a contract basic located in Oxford you will gain the opportunity to focus on mobility, enginery storage sustainability and efficiency.

Job Description

As Quality Engineer APQP your main responsibilities are:

  • APQP Implementation: Lead and manage the APQP process for new product launches and significant changes, ensuring adherence to customer-specific requirements and industry standards.
  • Manufacturing Support: Work closely with production teams to monitor and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met and that any deviations are quickly addressed.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that they meet quality requirements and support APQP activities, including audits and supplier development programs.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality planning activities, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.

Qualifications / Skills needed

  • You will have proven experience gained in a manufacturing quality environment, preferably in Aerospace, Defence, Automotive or similar sectors and a minimum HNC/Degree in Engineering or a business-related discipline.
  • Experience of electrification and battery technology is a distint advantage
  • You will also have experience in the use of business improvement tools and techniques (5s, Lean, Kaizen) and using APQP tools and techniques.
  • Experience in the use of problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques is a must along with proven knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, TS16949 (IATF16949), and ISO14001.
  • Knowledge and use of statistical analysis and process capability studies would be beneficial
