Product Dev Engineer
3-month initial/rolling contract
Hybrid (3 days pw onsite) - Merseyside
£29ph (Inside IR35)
Position Description:
- Our Clients' Halewood PVT Department is part of the Product Engineering Quality Function, delivering improvements to the current vehicle programs via problem solving, manufacturing plant support & delivery of Engineering Running Change.
- The successful candidate for this role will lead and deliver Change Management for D7a and D7U platforms manufactured in Castle Brom, Solihull, India and China.
- This role will require strong working relationships to be developed and maintained with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, MP&L, Finance, and Purchasing & Customer Services.
Skills Required:
- Experience of the Clients' products Whole vehicle system and architecture knowledge
- Knowledge of Manufacturing and Supplier Quality operations and processes
- Knowledge of product creation and quality processes
- Experience leading teams Project management experience PC Literacy
- Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships
- Demonstrate business acumen
- Well organised, methodical, flexible and have the ability to cope with priority actions or process changes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills & the ability to present the PVT core team at senior meetings
- Have the ability to multi-task in pressurised situations
- Drive & motivation to achieve targets with minimal supervisor

Skills Preferred:
- Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities - Lead and manage the "Current Car" PACN meeting to accelerate throughput
- Scrutinise business cases and support or challenge decisions to progress
- Guide Engineering functions on the required steps to ensure timely release & implementation of all Engineering change in conjunction with manufacturing, MP&L, Finance & Purchase.
- Lead & manage the "Current Car" Change Management Meeting (CMM) to accelerate throughout
- Manage the icreate engineering change release process.
- Manage the icreate CMM & CEM meetings to accelerate throughput
- Manage the handover of changes from programmes to running change
- Publish Change Management KPI data to measure success & identify opportunities
Experience Required:
- Qualification: Engineering Degree
- Experience of Client products, methods and operating processes.
- Experience of operating in an agile environment.
- Experience of operating Jira.
Experience Preferred:
- Knowledge of PVT operations and processes.
- Working Knowledge of WERS and PACN process
- Working Knowledge of icreate
- Working Knowledge of 3Dx Dassault systems
