Position : Durability & Robustness Programme Leader

Sector : Homologation, Certification & Validation

Location : Gaydon

Position Type: 10 months Rolling Contract

Inside IR35

Salary : £31.27 per hour

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Gaydon who are seeking a Durability & Robustness Programme Leader to join their team on a Contract basis.

Job Description

As Durability & Robustness Programme Leader your main responsibilities are:

  • This role will aim to enhance the customer experience through the design, development, measurement and balance of customer attributes for the Clients' vehicles
  • The D&R Programme leader role is to ensure all customer expectations for vehicle Durability and Robustness of the Clients' vehicles are met or exceeded.
  • Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved Detailed strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests and driven vehicle DV activities.
  • Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets.
  • This is achieved through attribute target setting & verification using both virtual and physical test methods.

Qualifications / Skills needed

  • Automotive experience of engineering test activities
  • Automotive technologies or systems.
  • Understanding of Durability Strength principles Project management of complex engineering test Activities
  • Durability full vehicle testing including off-road driving
  • Experience of problem solving including RCA Techniques
  • Understanding of Systems engineering.
  • Working knowledge CAD visualisation systems e.g. 3Dx, TeamCentre etc.
