I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive Manufacturer based in Surrey who are seeking a Chassis Project Engineer SME Bushes / Fasteners to join their team.

Job Description

As Chassis Project Engineer SME Bushes / Fasteners your main responsibilities are:

• Deliver components that meets project milestones without compromising tech targets.
• Support Vehicle dynamics with Technical feasibility studies and define product spec
• Define CAE and durability boundary conditions and targets.
• Support D & D to meet targets in terms of Joint assessment based on hardpoint loads that involves Preload Slip calculation, Strength & FOS assessment and package.
• Define product technical specifications that meets vehicle, system, manufacturing, service and quality targets.
• Define DVP, arrange and support track and rig tests accordingly.
• BoM management and build/car configurations
• Monitoring engineering completion (DFMEA progress, Part releases, and DVP status)
• Supplier Selection, Supporting purchasing on cost and lead time.

Qualifications / Skills required

• Design/delivery ownership of EDU, Suspension and subframe bushes.
• Support D & D to meet targets in terms of NVH, stiffness, durability, load control, dynamic attributes & package.
• Design/delivery ownership of Chassis Fasteners
• Experience in Chassis/Suspension system joints with a wide variety of interfaces that includes taper pin inserts, spherical seated bolts, wheel bolts, Cam bolts.
