About the company

Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client whose mission is to drive technological advancements within the mobility sector. They are seeking an experienced Chassis Project Engineer who is a subject matter expert in Bushes/ Feathers on a Contract basis. The role will be based in Shalford, Surrey.

Job Description

As Chassis Project Engineer your main responsibilities are:

• Ownership of design and delivery for EDU, suspension, and subframe bushes.
• Support D&D to achieve targets for NVH, stiffness, durability, load control, dynamics, and packaging.
• Define product specifications meeting vehicle, system, manufacturing, service, and quality targets.
• Deliver components meeting project milestones without compromising technical targets.
• Support vehicle dynamics with technical feasibility studies and define product specifications, CAE, durability conditions, DVP, and testing.
• Ownership of design and delivery for chassis fasteners.
• Support D&D to meet targets for joint assessment, preload and slip calculation, strength, FOS, and packaging.
• Experience with chassis/suspension system joints, including various interfaces like taper pin inserts, spherical seated bolts, wheel bolts, and cam bolts.
• Define product specifications meeting vehicle, system, manufacturing, service, and quality targets.
• Deliver components meeting project milestones, define DVP, support testing, and manage BoM, engineering progress, supplier selection, and project updates
