Job Description

  • Ourt Client is seeking a Seat Functions Engineer to join the business on a Contract basis, at their Crewe Campus (Hybrid working).
  • Reporting to the Functional Manager Rear Seats, the Seat Functions Engineer will be an expansion of Electronic Engineering resource within the Interior Engineering department for Seating Sub Teams.
  • Technical responsibility for Vehicle Function process within Seating (Definition of electronic logic/functionality within the seat system)
  • Manage and generate new functional concepts from customer use cases
  • Technical definition of seating functions with first logical customer focused concepts.
  • Function modelling and demonstration through virtual tools (SysML, MATLab, Simulink etc) for demonstration on first prototype seat.

Qualifications / Skills needed

  • The successful applicant will be experienced, ideally within an OEM/Supplier with a degree in Electronics/Software Modelling or with equivalent relevant experience.
  • Electronics/Software background
  • Software Modelling Techniques
  • Knowledge of networks/architecture (CAN & LIN)
  • Able to work independently to define customer functionality using good problem-solving skills
